Re: Dale Roberts going
Yeah i think the main reason for the move would be that both Dale and his fiancee wanted to move back to the North East, which i have heard mentioned. Dale throwing his gloves into the crowd seems afairly good indicator tbh.
Would be very disappointed if he does leave, and we must get a replacement, no question in my mind that Joe Day is not yet ready.

Re: Dale Roberts going
If this is true Dave I think it's highly irresponsible for a club official of Rachel Roberts standing to make such a claim on a supporters coach before anything becomes official.davealbon wrote:I too heard this, on the coach on the way back from the game today. Unfortunately the source on this occasion was Rachel Roberts - quite a reliable one I would think!.
All it has done is set the rumour mill on fire, if it's official let it come out officially not through blabbling it out on the coach.
Very disappointed.

Was Rachel actually on the coach? She doesn't usually travel on it anymore and I'd be very surprised if she said anything that she shouldn't have.
My sources tell me that Gateshead may be interested in Dale but that's there's no money!

Lets not forget that this is all just rumour. JE said in his interview on Radio N'ton after the game that he hasn't had any calls about any players. I would think that this was much nearer the mark than a load of rumours.

Indeed - and a lot of people like to look like they are "in the know" when in fact they've just heard a rumour from the same source, as it comes around in the opposite direction (or have read about it on an internet forum, and will then relay it as something they've "heard").Basil wrote:Lets not forget that this is all just rumour. No, Rachel wasn't on the coach. She told a group of 3 or 4 who were on the coach, who then relayed to everyone else what she had said. Apparently the people who sponsor Dale were told the news before the game, although the deal is NOT yet finalised (but apparently he WILL be going ;) ).Diamondsforever wrote:Was Rachel actually on the coach?
