My local village side won Division One of the UCL a few years back, couldn't improve their ground so weren't promoted to UCL Premier and folded a year after playing for a season as effectively Corby Town's reserve team.

Why do people say "The proof is in the pudding..."? I've heard a number of people say that on radio recently!

It's crap, of course. The saying is "The proof of the pudding is in the eating." to say "The proof is in the pudding" is utterly, totally meaningless!
