On the basis that the entire population of Thrapston and Islip did not visit Olney for this game (and as only a few seem to attend their home games anyway), it was more likely that the attendance was either 52, 21 or 51 (not 521). We opted for the 52, as it is pretty close to their normal average gate.

I think you can only use the attendance figures as a guide but they are the only official figures we have. Most of our away attendances seem to be fairly accurate, although the Sileby figure was extremely suspect.

Bugbrooke's accounting is mildly amusing with their 18 League attendances being: 75, 50, 80, 51, 40, 30, 100, 80, 50, 20, 400, 75, 20, 10, 70, 100, 50, 70.
You wonder what happened at the game against Bourne to get such an odd figure of 51 !

The three away official attendances that I thought were very suspect were Bourne, Thrapston and Sileby.

I'd put the Bourne one at least 100 higher, but then it was so easy to get in without paying or being counted.

Sileby there were at least 500 there without a doubt.

Thrapston's harder to call as the whole of one side was not used. I'd still put it on a par with Olney away though, which had almost 100 more

The attendance for that Olney / Thrapston game was eventually amended to 51.

There is an interesting reflection on attendances in both UCL divisions, including the impact of AFC R&D in the UCL Newsletter - http://www.afcdiamonds.com/united-count ... newsletter as well as a table that is similar to the one we've had on our OWS during the season. I'm not too sure how they managed to get a 2011-12 season attendance for our Senior Team....
