Attendances for League Matches 2012/13
We have played 33 matches to date and have attracted a total attendance of 16712 for these games.
Our average home attendance is 536 and our average away attendance is 475. Combined average for all matches is 506.
Our average home attendance for Saturday matches and the match played on New Year's Day is 631, whilst our average home attendance for Tuesday evenings is 451.
I am expecting those averages to rise when the last three fixtures are included.
Pretty impressive don't you think and I wonder if there is a Step 6 club in the country that can approach or better those figures?

Thank you Trek. Saves me working it all out again. I wonder what crowd we will get on Tuesday if we win tomorrow and how will Spencer cope if it goes to the last game.
Whatever happens the First Division will not forget us in a hurry. I wonder how many have had record attendances this season when we visited.

What is most amazing from those figures is the fact that the average away attendance is not that much less than the average home attendance. Slightly distorted because most away games, bar one at Sileby, have been played on Saturdays but nontheless very impressive and shows just how committed our fans are to watch our club at every opportunity.

I suspect the attendances at a number of those away games were actually considerably higher than the officially recorded gate. Olney and Bourne immediately spring to mind, as they are both open and supporters can get into the 'ground' without passing though a turnstile. Sileby is another, with one of their officials guessing that the attendance looked about 100 more than they actually counted through the gate.Trek wrote:What is most amazing from those figures is the fact that the average away attendance is not that much less than the average home attendance. I agree, Dave and I would include Thrapston in that assessment. Nevertheless, I have only used the 'official' figures listed in the stats on the OWS.

Yesterdays crowd at Potton was above average and with next weeks match at Spencer likely to draw 700/800 our away average is going to get even closer to our home record.
I think Tuesday v Whitworths will be 600-700.

considering that most of our home games have been on a tuesday night, I think that is a remarkable figure 8-)

Am I being too hopeful for 1000+ on Saturday? Cause a lot of people seem to come out of the woodwork for these sorts of games and its not that far to go.sussexdiamond wrote:Yesterdays crowd at Potton was above average and with next weeks match at Spencer likely to draw 700/800 our away average is going to get even closer to our home record.

I think you are being a bit hopeful, we couldn't get 1000+ for a home game. There's a possibility we could get 700+ but your estimate would stand a better chance if Sileby lose of TuesdayOlly wrote:Am I being too hopeful for 1000+ on Saturday?
