A touch disappointed with the performance tonight however I'm not remotely bothered that we're out.

We were beaten by the better side, and had we won it would have been massively unfair on Huntingdon. We created so so little (did we have a shot in the second half?) and I felt sorry for Lance who worked his socks off all night but had no support.

The Huntingdon celebrations after their goals would suggest they're taking this competition seriously so good luck to them.

The final score line was much closer than the games suggests, with Huntingdon should have been able to win more comfortably. Not really wanting to slag any players off but Elliott dent is really going to have to work hard if he wants to get back in the team and I wouldn't have thought wiz will be too happy with his performance. Louis smith had a shocker and almost looked as if he didn't want to be there. On a plus note I thought Rashid koriya did ok and will provide adequate cover at left back. He's no sam brown but could come in and do a job there.

These games may seem " meaningless" to some people but they do give valuable experience and minutes to the likes of Liam Bond and Louis Smith. They give players returning from injury like Parky valuable game time. A real plus was seeing Rashid Koriya perform so comfortably....he certainly aint Fazels twin (in appearance)

We will have a similar team out next week.

I don't think they contribute to a fixture backlog because as none of the "first" team play in them they are really like under 21 games. Any way we are still a long way from a fixture backlog with 7 months still to play.

Almost forgot, Bond's own goal was a classic! As soon as he did it it reminded me of the Hatswell own goal that you regularly find on gaffs DVD's whilst he was playing in a cup tie for Forest Green. Had time to take a touch and clear but lashed it in the top corner instead! :o

Happy that we're out, being in the League and Vase is more than enough IMO. It would've been really annoying if league fixtures had been moved (potentially losing us money) to fit in this competition. If we need to give the fringe players some first-team experience then there's always the Hillier Cup.

Agree with all of this.

Looking at it this morning we did well to only go down 3-2 they are the leaders of the UCL prem and had 7 first team payers playing, we had none.
it also seems that some teams think the way to get promotion is to harrang the ref at every tackle, appeal for everything, bang on the changing rooms.
I am just glad our team aren't like that.
But hey it works for them at the moment.

sorry should have said we had none who started last saturday. You could argue Parky should be a first team player perhaps.

Obviously disappointed to be out, but it's one less cup competition to worry about.

I don't think we disgraced ourselves against them, and I think apart from one point in the first half where Quincy dropped the ball, overall he had a good game.
