Sure the will be a large quantity of quality applicants many of which may be in management now, so hopefully not everyone will be declaring their interest on social media. It may be my age but I'm of the generation who can go for a pee without tweeting about it. Very busy & interesting time ahead for some/all of the Board. Though they do have over 3 months to go through the process, so lots of rumours & speculation to follow no doubt.

Is that not just because at your age you'd be tweeting so often that Twitter would think your account was for spamming purposes? ;)

I'm really warming to the idea of having Gary Mills as our manager. He'd have an absolute wealth of contacts having played for a whole host of sides in the local area, not to mention former R&D favourites who we might be able to tempt as a result. That said, I do think he was teasing on Twitter last night and i'm not sure he'd want to get into management yet - although this is a great opportunity for anyone, especially those looking to start a managerial career.

I do understand the UCL experience argument but I don't think that's going to be great long-term. The exception to that might be Glenn Botterill who is a non-league scout for Northampton.

I'd like to see a manager with experience take us forward. Darren Collins is a good idea, has experience at higher level and locally for Cogenhoe I think?

Would this be a matter purely for the selection of the board, or would the members each get a vote?

Shouldn't imagine so. How can any fan make an informed judgement without seeing a candidate's CV and not being part of the selection and interview procedure?

I think we voted a board on to make decisions like this.

Stick with peaksy and biff, no one knows the league better than peaksy, I reckon with the right budget he is more than good enough, people going on about millsy the only way I'd want him involved would be a coach as he has a uefa b badge but to be honest i don't think he's needed.really don't want Glen Botterell!

Totally agree and that's the way it should be. I don't think we should go down the MyClub/Ebbsfleet route.
