I've just returned to our holiday home after a fantastic day on the beach with the grandkids - don't really care what did or didn't transpire between Alfie and club officials, it's gone now !! I think sometimes you reap what you sow - knowing the people who run the club as I do there would be a reason for whatever they did.

Back on topic anyway - good luck to the lads tonight, I'll miss the match unfortunately but hope to hear of 3 well won points later !!

We'll have to agree to disagree then Lee - and as I always say, if you're that unhappy stand for the board and make changes, if it bothers you that much you'll find the time as others have to !! If you have a number of members who feel the same as you you're in !!

It's easy to throw stones when you don't know all the facts - as I said, believe what you've heard if you want to, but I think you're hearing one side of the story, I agree with Dave that there is no point the board stooping so low as to have a public argument across social media with a disgruntled ex-player !!

I just wish I could be in two places at the same time - I'm gutted I'm missing our first game and am keeping all my fingers crossed for a winning start to the new season.

Jim I'm sure it's easy for others to find time. I start work some Sunday evenings and am quite often still out until Saturday morning. Unless some magical being is going to pay my mortgage and feed me I cannot just "find time".
As for not knowing all of the facts, I have NEVER once declared that I do indeed know them all. I'm just making a sweeping comment based on the facts I DO know and after conversations I have had with ( various) people.
My opinion has now been enhanced even more so after a conversation I had today.

Sounds good, hopefully we can get a couple more in this half to give the strikers confidence.

Well if those people want to stand up let them. I know your situation Lee, it's the same as mine, hence why after 3 years I stepped down. I wasn't having a go at you, just trying to state the fact that it is a community club and anyone can stand and make a difference. If you can't find the time then it seems a bit off having a go at those that do - the current board have to really juggle both their personal and private lives and I for one are grateful they do, it means I get to watch football !!

If people are unhappy with the way the Board are doing things then vote them off - simples !!

Anyway - still 0-2 I believe !!
