Merrill has turned out for the last two U21 after being ill so why has he not featured in recent senior friendly fixtures? For this reason alone Henderson should start.
Looks like 3OD has Alfie on the bench. :o Is that wishful thinking? Perhaps after seeing poor performances from Lorraine and Turner.

Listening to comments leaving the ground yesterday many were questioning the wisdom of letting Alfie leave. Certainly offered more than Lorraine and Turner, who I have been particularly disappointed with. After all the hype of his goal scoring exploits with the Doughboys last season I expected Turner to be able to convert some of the many chances that we create. Let's hope that if Peaksie decides to start with him on Tuesday he can prove me wrong.Three of Diamonds wrote:I think I've been auto corrected lolz. Turner of course

Your opinion of course, but is Bunting out for this game as it would be hard pushed to leave him out of the 16.Three of Diamonds wrote:,.....,....,................Findlay

Everyone is entitled to their opinion but I can't understand this questioning of letting Taylor go. He is not good enough to take the club forward to the level we are looking at this year and I think that showed last season. Turner has scored goals, lots of them, everywhere he has played and will score lots for us too. Let's not start questioning him before even the first league game. If he doesn't turn out to be the goal scorer that he has been then that will be something the management team will address. I for one think we have a hell of a team and will win the league. I'm more interested on the players we have and seeing the likes of dunks, bunting, dolman and lamb-Johnson playing for us can only be a great thing.

I personally think it was the right decision to allow Alfie to leave as I believe he became unsettled as early as January when he got wind of the fact that we tried to sign Jason Turner from Wellingborough. However, I know from discussions that many of our fans who believe that he should have been retained and, of course, they are fully entitled to this view. People are also entitled to make a judgement on some of our close season signings, based on pre-season performances, and Turner falls into this category.

Wether it was right or wrong to let Alfie go is debatable. What isn't is the way he was treated by the club.
