I looked on the Stamford forum tonight to see what their fans thought of the game. A couple of comments about us and Fazel Koriya:
I would love to see the R&D No.11 in our squad. He gave one of the finest wing displays I have seen for a long time. His mercurial skills, energy and pace will murder UCL teams. We never got to grips with him.
I totally agree with you about their number eleven, the trickiest player I have seen at Stamford for years. In forgetting his legs seemed to measure about eight inches in circumference he was totally mesmerising to watch wasn't he, and if he's not under contract, he surely cant finish the season there
I was also impressed with R&D as a team and surely they will be up there all season, but after watching Spalding last night especially with the players Pat has now assembled, they will surely romp the UCL and as a team they were even more impressive
We are gameless next weekend, and St Neots are at home to Spalding. Could be a good opportunity to have a look at them.

The worrying thing with a few of the recent signings is, they are registered with us, but, not contracted. These players can go and trial with any other club, if they feel there would be a better proposition put to them. We need to show that we are getting players 'signed-on' permanently, rather than risk them going to another club, a couple of weeks before the season starts.
Let's get behind them and show it is a club on the up....

I would have thought players like Dunkley and Koriya have joined us because they want to be here. They won't be looking to try and move to up the pyramid like Newman given their said ages of 30 and 31.

I think frankly we can show we are on the up in better ways that throwing contracts at players. And if players want to chase the extra £'s (not having a go at Newman), then there is no place for the in the AFC RD squad imo.

I think the management know what they are doing, and the board have most certainly got a tight hold in the budget. Contracts will only (from my understanding and certainly what I hope) be offered to good young players, who we hope to be with the club for a number of years as we progress up the pyramid.
