Why???????????????????????????????/

Post by rudolph_hucker »

Why did Upson not keep himself between the ball and the kraut?

Why was Terry piss arsing around at the other end of the pitch?

Why were they allowed to break so easily?

Why was Rooney on the pitch?

Why was Crouch not brought on against a dodgy defence ?

Why is the multi million pound sport that is football not got a camera on the goal line? It may have made a difference to go in at half time on the up.

Why do European games have 5 officials, yet not World cup games?

Why have we got a manager that is not English?

Why was Gerrard playing on the left?

I am still soooo angry at the crap I watched yesterday afternoon.

Here's my two cents and i know im going to get hammered for it but here goes.

I think, after Fabbio Cappelo's press conference, he is still the man for the job.

He said the players were tired, and by the comments I have seen so far, it was the players who made most of the mistakes not the manager.

Can't keep prima donna's on the pitch. As soon a it was apparent Rooney wasn't performing he should have been withdrawn.

We never really turned up for this world cup. We had some good times but on the whole we weren't the team we saw in qualifying.

In regards to camera's, if they were introduced, it should only be used in major competitons. The reason is the finance for it. Clubs are struggling for wage bills at the moment. Who would foot the cost for this system worldwide. Not just in our country but in the developing countries. I think a goal-line offical would be a much better option.

Agreed 100%

Fabio is a great manager. I think Rooney was a key part in why we struggled this year, he wasn't playing well. Simple as that. He was 1 of the worst players on the pitch for many of our games. When he had the ball he just looked to stutter instead of banging 1 in the net like he does week in week out for Ushited.

Theres only 2 players I think that played fairly good through the tournament, and they are David James and Ashley Cole. Cole put all his media bollocks behind him and gave some solid performances, whereas David James looked a rock in goal for pretty much most of his games.

Apart from the fact Capello's CV is unquestionable, why do England managers have to be English? There have only been two non English managers, including Capello and tbh for most of them, their records were crap. I take it you've forgotten Steve McClaren?

Capello has far superior credentials to any 'English' candidates. Now with most of the 'golden generation' on their last legs, he can build a team, not one of the best 11 individuals.

Agree with last 3 posts.

Got to build a steady team I reckon. No use chopping, changing and throwing away millions of pounds then still pick the EXACT same squad whose fault it was under a new manager.

It wasn't Capello's fault that Rooney, Terry, Upson were all dogshit. I understand they could have been taken off, but they are big names in a big team and he would probably have faced more turbulent abuse about taking our best players off.

Not proven as an international manager. Has NO tactical nouse when it comes to changing and swapping things around when necessary.
Fergie is a great manager but he isn't proven as an international manager, I wouldn't fancy him in charge either.

Could you imagine an Italian/German/Spanish/Argentinian team being managed by a non national. Its called pride and passion, an Englishman would show pride and passion. No I hadn't forgotten McLaren, nor had I forgotten Sven. I also remember Bobby Robson, Terry Venables.

Name an English manager proven at international level then.

I would argue Scolari, a Brazillian was a great success for Portugal in terms of bringing them forward. Certainly he never won a tournement, but he certainly helped to shape them into a better side.

Fair enough about Sir Bobby Robson and Terry Venables, they among the few bright sparks, but what I've underlined is nonsense in light of how Capello was reacting on that touchline in the World Cup. He showed more pride and passion than the players who have featured in this world cup combined and they were supposedly born here!

Not proven? He's won 19/27 games as England manager, that's about a 70% win rate now i can't think of many other managers whos win rate is that high?

This is the same Capello who most fans were raving about after winning 9/10 games in qualifying, 4 bad performances and a bad world cup later and everyones on his back, some football fans can be so fickle.
