Roberts - 5 - Had two shots to save, and didn't. Alhough in fairness no goalkeeper would have stopped the first one.

Miller - 5 - Plays the game too slowly for me, JE was screaming at him but i'm still not sure what for.

Osano - 7 - Played on with a broken nose.

Stuart - 7 - Usual self.

Corcoran - 6 - Hoofed it too much at left back, looked like his usual self when he was moved across.

Power - 6 - Shooting was tame to put it mildly, but battled well.

Porter - 7 - My MOM personally, never stopped running.

Spence - 4 - Has done nothing in the two games he has played in my opinion.

Green - 6 - Clearly got plenty of ability, and can take a great free kick, but wasn't getting enough of the ball, or taking up the right positions (perhaps match fitness?). He certainly looks more of a midfielder than a striker. If he fits into our system quickly then i'm sure he'll become a vital player for us.

Howe - 5 - Needs to adapt to BSP football fast.

Farrell - 4 - I know the season is only 2 games old, but he's in terrible form if last year is anything to go by.

Subs:

Johnson - 7 - Really impressed me both in pre-season and the two games he has come off the bench. Looks hungry to impress.

Charles - 6 - Alot of effort and determination, yet to see anything in terms of genuine ability.

Robinson - Too little time to judge, but we had far more balance when he came on.

That's why I asked really, I am trying to keep a record for the games I attend so I can judge the player of the season more accurately this season :) might try and incorporate games I can't make too, with an average or whatever, from the ratings on here.

Interesting about Spence, because personally I thought he did nothing on Saturday, but no-one especially mentioned it, but 2 games of nothing now, I was expecting more. Although I am definately in the 'not panicking' gang, and I have no doubt he will come good. ;)

Seems to me that a few of your comments could have been applied to the saturday game too, particularly Miller, Corcoran, Power, Spence and Faz.

Also, about Farrell, I THINK that last season was the best of his career, and personally I'm not expecting another 10+ goal tally. Think he may have had the best season he will ever have. Although he should have 1 already, but for the penalty curse

I agree with Porter as MOTM and your other ratings.

im Hoping that Green just needs more time to get to know the team and how we play. His 1st freekick was brilliant just hitting the post.

I thought in both games so far Spence has dones his job quietly, nothing special, he's not made massive cock ups and given the ball away a lot nor has he beaten men or made incisive passes. He's just been there, quietly passing and moving.

We can safely not play Farrell now we have Green to take the set pieces.

In Both games after he has been replaced we have looked a stronger team, Johnson and Huke have both done the midfeild job better than Spence did..

Roberts - 7 - from where I stood, he had no chance with either goal, seems to have speeded up his distriibution, and generally did nothing wrong.
Miller - 6 - looked ok going forward, has an exocet of a throw-in, a couple of times lost his man defensively
Osano - 6 - looked unsure of himself, if he did have a broken nose, he should have been replaced.
Stuart - 5 - out muscled and looked lost against their centre-forward, struggled to win a header, was lucky not to be booked pushing the centre-forward, and lost his cool in achallenge with the goalkeeper right at the end.
Corcoran - 6 - always looked to turn back onto his right foot, thereby slowing down any attack, looked better when switched to rightback.
Power - 6 - as said, shooting was poor, and too slow in his distribution.
Porter - 7 - probably our best player, did a lot of running, but our midfild looked lethargic.
Spence - 6 - he and Green need more training together, as they often seemed to be in the same space, passing was generally acurate, but didn't shine.
Green - 6 - looks pacy, but never got behind his man to put in a cross, needs more match time.
Howe - 6 - looked our best forward, kept running, but looks overweight and unfit, but there's no 'partnership' between him and Faz.
Farrell - 4 - looked VERY poor, don't know if he's unfit, unhappy, or just not 'up-for-it'.
Subs:
Johnson - 6 - didn't impress me, don't think he's a wide midfielder in a 4-4-2, hasn't got the pace.
Charles - 6 - caused some trouble, JE needs to see if he and Howe can form a partnership, unless Azza is fit for Saturday
Robinson - 6 - attacked their defence, overlapped a couple of times, and we looked better with him at left back.

JE - 5 - needs to find a system to get the players to fit into, last season he introduced the 4-3-3, and got the players to fit into it, I don't think he knows yet what he's got in his squad, and may tinker some more until he finds a system that works (I hope its not too late before it comes together).

After the Bath performance, and looking at the remaining games in August, we could end up with just 1 point!!! and a long season......
