Back to the league

Post by oliv272 »

Ok we have been knocked out of the cup thanks to a referee so now its time to remeber what matters and that we are in a very stroung position in the league and the players must remember this.

JE needs to show them the video of the game show the players what they did right and that they were just unlucky and one thing he must do is get a result against Kiddy. A nice gap is growing from the Playoffs to 7th giving us a cushion but if we lose against Kiddy we could be onto a bad run.

At the end of the day the FA cup doesn't give us promotion and with the sales of players and clauses in contracts we aren't desperate for the money. We are in 4th Place already so its time to forget about the FA cup.

Another point is I hope howe is back for the game against Kiddy . Day done a brilliant job although I would of put Roberts on because when you think about the other side of it we have this brilliant england C keeper and we didn't use him. I know people will disagree with that and I agree that yes Day has been awesome having watched him at the mansfield and barrow games but he can be nervy so I would make that change now for the next few games.

agreed although im still pissed off not because we are out but in the way we went out

agree also about the midfield thought power looked suspect at times. was shocked he got mom.
but think yeovil looked stronger and fitter and in that area especially in the second half they looked a team 2 leagues above.
dont worry je will get the heads right for tue!
dont think we should replace day agree about roberts but think changing him now will knock his confidence too much he wasnt at fault at all

I went home thinking Power isn't good enough but thinking about it he was playing against a league 1 team and he's not really used to that standard. Power gives 100% though so hats off to him.

I think we're one player off a solid team, creative central midfielder. Wollaeston type player, strong but creative!
There's only one Dale Roberts, one Dales Roberts, there's only one Dale ROBERTS! R.I.P

I'm a little confused about your comment re Howe :?:

Also, I can see no reason whatsoever for dropping Joe Day. He's on top form at the moment and to drop him just because Dale is fit and the England C keeper would be incredibly unfair. Day has more than proved that he deserves his place in the starting line up imo.

Screw the FA Trophy. The prize money is peanuts and so really just adds more fixtures to the calendar.

I agree with what people have said about removing him(day) now it would give him a loss of his confidence .But on the other hand I would like to see roberts back in goal soon. For me it seems a very hard choice an at the moment there is nothing wrong with day but roberts is my prefered gk its my opinion and i can see why people disagree

day has done nothing wrong. the shirt is his afaic.
they were much better than us in the second half. we really didn't trouble their keeper. i'd have like to see o'connor a bit closer to howe. howe was winning a few headers but we were doing nothing with the second ball.
we were too predictable. all our attacks came down one side. we can play a lot better than that, starting with kiddy on tues. je will sort it out.
just a shame we got cheated out of a potential replay by a shoddy ref.
