As ridiculous sackings go...

This one is the most ridiculous of them all!
Hughton was doing a fine job, I hope Mike Ashley gets all the abuse he deserves this weekend!

Ridiculous decision, although I can't say I'm surprised; Ashley never really wanted Hughton as a long term solution.
I'm sure the Newcastle fans will be calling for Ashley's head at the next game, but he'll soon appoint a former Newcastle legend (Shearer again?!), and they'll soon forget all about Hughton.

Newcastle are a bunch of nutters when it comes to managers. Only they could sack a manager that's been doing well. Although it wasn't Ashley, what they did to Sir Bobby Robson was a disgrace.

Knowing the Geordies, Shearer will be assistant manager to another Geordie legend for yet another spell (minus the big sack of cash he needs to do anything):davealbon wrote:Ridiculous decision, although I can't say I'm surprised; Ashley never really wanted Hughton as a long term solution.

Alan Pardew has been sacked as manager of Newcastle
"He hasn't won anything for us since he came to the north east" said owner Mike Ashley. "We're a big club and we deserve more"
