you never know, only played twice for stevenage this year and hes got to be 31/32. Probably go back to Cambridge.

Boylan might not be a bad shout, having been released. Seems to have struggled with injury though. If fit, he'd be a great signing.

I'd prefer someone younger who is prolific either from the lower leagues or a bigger clubs youth/reserve team

Lee Boylan would be worth offering something to IMO. Not prolific, but he knows where the net is and gives some experience.
Rene Howe looks like he isn't going to Northampton as reports today have them as having signed one forward and likely to get Calvin Zola from Crewe, but I would expect any chance of Rene would be at the end of the month if no league clubs take a gamble on him.
Kevin Gall has been released by Wrexham, not that I want him, just the name of someone who is free.
