Poppies Prices

Post by Formic »

I'm not sure if it's been mentioned here, but Poppies fans are faced with paying £15 to attend games now - that means it will cost £15 to stand in the open behind either goal.

Perhaps a few of their fans will join our Trust so they can watch football in comfort for £14 .....

Incidentally, I see many of them are saying they won't pay it and they expect their gates to drop significantly, its really split opinion on their Board, some saying its the reality of their situation, others saying its too much. I must say, £15 is more reasonable than £17, I'd have probably lived with £15 across the board at Nene Park.

Reeling you in now .. ;)

Seriously though, it is unfortunate timing for them given their home results have been so poor for so long.

They are accepting that their policy of slashing prices didn't work - but it will be interesting to see if their gates hold up as well as ours have done with increased prices and failing to reach the levels of last season.

But £17 at Nene Park is a bargin compared to £15 at the Rockinghorse!

True, but its an unfair comparison really isn't it? :D

I'm not going to blither on about my views, but if it remains as it is, and I can't afford a season ticket in August, I'll miss the first half of the season again (just follow away from home) and get a half season ticket in December - I'm nothing but consistent :D

Those Ploppies really do make me smile....they were all so taken in by the spin on IL's recent "good news" about their ground situation, they all forgot to read the bit about prices going up and their best players having to leave
