We need a clear out of the list of users. Some are blatant spammers and others are legitimate users that haven't registered yet.

Yeah hopefully. I'm not demanding it gets removed, i'm sure the moderators on the forum have blocked before and will continue to do so in the future, and i appreciate it's not easy trying to work out who genuine fans are. To be honest i find the spam laughable, literally hundreds of words that don't make sense and that nobody is interested in.

I'm not demanding it gets removed, i'm sure the moderators on the forum have blocked before and will continue to do so in the future, and i appreciate it's not easy trying to work out who genuine fans are. To be honest i find the spam laughable, literally hundreds of words that don't make sense and that nobody is interested in.

Well if your not demanding it gets removed, and that you dont care, why make a thread about it? Its not a laughable matter, its just annoying and sure it will get dealt with.

You guys have no idea of the huge number of posts that have been removed nor the number of users that have been banned in the last week or so, most of them you will never even have seen. I agree that it is very irritating but we're doing our best to keep them off the board and, unfortunately, as has already been said, we can't be on here 24 hours a day.

I would ask that you all please resist the temptation to reply to any of it as it makes it easier for us to identify the posts quickly. Thanks

I wasn't laughing, and i agree with you, hopefully it will get removed. I was just wondering how the spammers got on the forum, it's not really a big deal.

Actually it does make sense from my perspective. I think they may be doing it for a thing known as Search Engine Optimisation(google it if you want to find out more) not to get anyone to click on those links or look at the content even.

One thing that may deter them would be to check if links posted on this site are made nofollow (this is do with SEO). If they aren't he needs to find out how to add this.
