Re: The burning question.
When I left Northampton last night it was chucking it down. It's rained here reasonably heavy all day in Luton - (25 miles max from NP as the crow flies?). It'l be a shame if it gets called off but if it is I hope they do it reasonably early.

Re: The burning question.
It's been terrible in the north of the county and if the pitch wasn't draining the other Saturday I will be very surprised if it's draining at present. Is there anyone with access to the ground who can give us an update since more rain is forecast tomorrow?Trek wrote:With the recent heavy rainfall over the last 3 days will the pitch be fit enough to play tomorrow evening? :(

I don't think it's the pitch not draining, but more so the drains not being unblocked.
I've heard from a reliable source that the drains at the ground used to get cleared every season. However, they have not been cleared for the past 4 or 5 seasons which has caused build up of stuff. Apparently, the club were made aware after the postponement a couple of weeks ago, cleared the drain and everything is fine.

Was this before or after the Bath home game? Do we now have a free draining pitch?Diamond Warrior wrote:I don't think it's the pitch not draining, but more so the drains not being unblocked.
