I know this has been mentioned elsewhere but probably deserves its own thread.

Opportunities for sponsorship around the ground also.

I know money is in short supply for most of us nowadays but it seems such a pity that at the moment only two people have contributed to this memorial, and quite a lot also failed to meet their pledge of money for Stuart's banner which would look good if it were to be part of the Dale tribute area on the De Banke. I know life goes on and all that but let's not forget what Dale meant to us all.

Perhaps a bucket collection at the Kiddy game would be a good way forward for this, to mingle amongst the crowd on the PDB and ask for donations that way, to get contributions from people then and there!! People come to games and don't think about it again until they come back - on the spot is sometimes the best way to get contributions !! I'd be happy to do it if it were though of to be a good idea? If we got a few of us doing it we'd cover the whole terrace ina few minutes - thoughts????

I'd suggest you give Gill a call Pigman; just out of courtesy and to make sure there isn't another charity bucket collection already planned for that game.

I'll drop Gill an email and see what she says, even if we just mingled with the crowd on the De Banke in the second half for 10 minutes after the Charity collection we should raise a few quid towards it eh? I'll let you know the response I get (Gill if you read this drop me a text to say yay or nay, I think you've got my number?).

We've got a week and a bit to get it sorted, if any of you guys are willing to help drop me an email to diamondpigman@aol.com
