Winding Up Order
Winding Up Order
Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but an official winding up order was issued yesterday against the Club to be heard at the Northampton County Court on the 13th June.
The winding up order is on behalf of the Caterers 'Cloverdale'.
I assume this is the reason for the invitation for the closed meeting of creditors next week.

Re: Winding Up Order
Oh and a footnote before the headless chicken mode from some fans, this does not mean we are going into Administration, it may be sorted out prior the 13th june if money is forthcoming from the Club.
In some ways the club needs our money to pay our creditors and the creditors need to work with the club to have a chance of getting their money.
In reality the Club being wound up does nobody any favours, infact everybody loses out, so i hope sanity prevails and they work out a solution.

Re: Winding Up Order
what a financial basket case our beloved club had become eh? So sad, I'll watch developments unfold from the sidelines, I'm sure there will be lots of twists and turns and bullshit spouted over the coming weeks, bottom line is things need to be sorted soon or we will lose confidence of potential sponsors. Sad days!

It's been that way for a couple of years now Jim. All we can do as fans is hope the situation improves.
Still, at least we're a "proper" club now eh, with no sugar daddy ? ;)

Re: Winding Up Order
I heard about the debt to Cloverdale a couple of months ago, and I think the sum mentioned at the time was £57,000. This is not a fact, obviously, but if it's even close to this sum it's not likely to be settled.

We don't pay the caterers, we don't pay the programme printers, we don't pay the players' landladies, we don't pay the staff, we don't always pay the players, we don't repay loans made in good faith. We never pay the taxman or electricity company on time. Anyone explain where the money is going?

Our debts and overheads are greater than our income. KC was filling the shortfall, but we don't have that luxury anymore by the looks of it.Cotty wrote:We don't pay the caterers, we don't pay the programme printers, we don't pay the players' landladies, we don't pay the staff, we don't always pay the players, we don't repay loans made in good faith. We never pay the taxman or electricity company on time. Re: Winding Up Order
If this amount is correct then the mind boggles that a fairly small local company based in Finedon has allowed such large amount to accrue and then remain unpaid. :evil:coolcuts wrote:why is the catering that much??
I understood that they only provided food pre-match in the Kimberley suite for which fans paid cash on the day? However, they may have also provided the food for the boxing evening held in February. What a poor state of affairs that we can't pay a local supplier on time. We don't deserve local companies to support us.
