That was happening anyway.

It's from this season's total as well.

Does that mean the embargo is lifted?

No. The embargo is due to an outstanding tax bill owed to HMRC. This charge relates to the incorrect reporting of previous debts.

One thing that has now been cleared up, is that although the debts were acrued during Keith Cousins' reign, it was the current regime who submitted the incorrect report and are therefore to blame for the charge (albeit the member of the board who was responsible for the mistake, Gary Calder, is no longer at the club).

We'll be appealing according to today's ET, can't imagine it'll make any difference though.

Whats the point in appealing? Does it mean we could be fined/docked more? Just take the punishment and leave it where it doesn't affect us too greatly.

What's the point of that exactly? The fine is a suspended one and the points deduction doesn't matter.

I agree. I call it peeing into the wind. The owners ought to concentrate on getting some funds in to pay outstanding creditors. If they can't do that then they ought to clear off as quick as they can.

Hang on, I re-read it and it says we're considering an appeal. Says that our argument is based on the fact we had the change of ownership before the financial reporting period with the reports made by Calder.
