Excuse my ignorance......
IF you all manage to raise the necessary 100k/200k you need, what happens next? Who is paying next months bills, Octobers, Novembers etc?

Re: Excuse my ignorance......
A plan will be put into place to manage the Club within our means including not using for example the Sports & Exhibition Centre which costs the Club around 50k a year to use for training dressing rooms, players dining facilities etc. when we have prefectly acceptable changing rooms/dining areas in the stadium that remain unused except for match daysPoppies(1872) wrote:Says a lot that this has been viewed so many times yet no one really knows?
Our prime concern is to deal with pressing creditors in a satisfactory manner hence the need for upwards of £250,000 in the next 2-3 weeks.
Out of interest, who's paying your outstanding creditors? Perhaps the Ploppies ought to have a contingency plan in place as your Chairman can't wait to merge with us from what was reported last evening ;) .

Good point, its one I think we are all acutely aware of, but the issue we're focusing on at the moment is saving the club. If we can stave off various creditors, and show to perspective investors that we, the fans, are prepared to dig deep, then who knows what might happen. Save the club first and worry about tomorrow once we know there is a tomorrow! No denying, it'll be tough, but one step at a time eh?

Another option is that, if we do go under and form a phoenix club, we'll have a team of fans and a bit of money in place to get us started.

I think what you're all doing is superb and TBH our lot spend more time bickering so we'd not get this far!
It just seems an awful lot of money when it could just be going in a black hole.
I honestly think your best option is to enter a phoenix UCL team, trust run and play at Hayden Road where you will still get 400-500 attendances.

The idea of our fund is that the money is a little more 'ring-fenced' than just pouring into some monetary abyss but I take your point that, should things not go well, we could find ourselves back in the same place again in 12 months.Poppies(1872) wrote:It just seems an awful lot of money when it could just be going in a black hole.
Out of interest, what do you as a KTFC fan think of the 'K*ttering and Diamonds' proposal that has reportedly been tabled?
I would imagine that you would find the idea as abhorrent as we do.

It's not going into a black hole i.e. the Club's designated bank account (Beasants controlled account).Poppies(1872) wrote: It just seems an awful lot of money when it could just be going in a black hole.
All monies are going to the Trust. If the Club can't be saved then this money can go to other deserving causes and will never be wasted.

Hayden Road wasn't up to standard 20 odd years ago causing Rushden Town's demise from the Southern League Premier division with an usable timber stand that still hasn't been demolished.Poppies(1872) wrote: I honestly think your best option is to enter a phoenix UCL team, trust run and play at Hayden Road where you will still get 400-500 attendances.
Have you any suggestions on an alternative venue your way? Of course not, that's why your Club are staring down the gun barrel with little future as well. ;)
