FAMOUS SONS

Post by smiggy123 »

Hello all new member here. Has rushden or the surrounding area have any famous/well known sons who may be willing to donate or help spread even if it was items that can be auctioned the word two being- 1)shaun murphy 2) peter ebdon for examples,i,have read that they have retweeted .another angle why not approach local succsesfull biussness men that live close by .Nigel hanger is one of the salvation army clothing collection comp he lives in finedon , he had a write up in the papers not long ago ,he has a few quid,.
with the managers connections with spurs could a friendly be arranged between 1)the youth teams 2)the 1st team when we have one.
I may get shot down on this but at the meeting KC said they tried to open a coffee shop .do you think if approached somebody like Mcdonalds might be interested on a franchise,so once staff are paid th,e profits could go to the club ,if a franchisee works like that, just an idea as it would be busy all year round

The problem with the coffee shop was that Starbucks/Costa whoever they approached wanted the Club to fund the building/shopfitting conversion work which was estimated to cost in the region of £58,000 which is a capital expense that the Club clearly couldn't afford.
Despite the distance from the Out Patients Centre I still think more effort should be put in to opening up the Bistros Bar during weekdays and Saturdays, for coffees and light snacks etc..

Bloody hell, a Starbucks at Nene Park, that would've been dangerous working from home baring in mind I can see the ground from my house in Higham.

Had it been built I could have saved the club just from the revenue alone :D
