Massive thanks....

Post by Pigman »

.....to Luton Town FC for brightening my day and putting a smile on my face during these shitty times by bottling it yet again. My boss is a Hatter and I took great glee in texting him earlier with the words "haaahaaahaa haa haaa yet another year of pain ahead"

He is gutted, made I larf a lot !! :D

I know we have nowt to gloat about, we seem to be dying on our feet, but it is so satisfying seeing them fail yet again, slowly but surely, they are learning they are here because they're not good enough to go up !! The 2 best teams this year went up, 1st and 2nd - justice done !!

I had a slight chuckle to myself as well! Such an arrogant bunch of fans but at least the best two teams went up!

Having been very down about our future I was cheered up a little bit by a press colleagues today who said that having spoken to KC in past 24 hours he's not convinced that we won't be playing Luton after all next season! Decision now possibly wednesday.

Don't dangle litte teasers like that Chris, it upsets me, I'd kinda resigned myself to the worst, then you go and get all optimistic on me ;) :D

Perhaps a 3rd year down here may teach the Hatters a little humility eh? But I doubt it. Just hope we stay in business, and in the BSP, and have them to play again next year, good local game for me too.

Not meaning to tease Jim just trying to find any minute crumb of comfort to hang onto however dire the situation looks! I have no direct info whatsoever but if only £50kish has been raised we would surely have been gone by now? Let's just hope that the sugar daddy is waiting in the wings!

this is just me thinking aloud but how would it go down with the fans if
1)ladak getting totally frustrated at K*ttering regarding the ground and the possibility of the fans turning against him
2)he sees what a fantastic set up at diamonds everything is in place ,he decides to jump ship forming a consortium.
This is just me thinking aloud with something that may never happen ,but if it did what would the reaction be :?:

If I'm honest, I'm a little surprised that Ladak hasn't actually considered trying this in the past. He's not going to go far with K*ttering, what with the ground issue.

With the facilities and such at Nene Park, the fantastic manager in place, all he would need to do with a consortium is back Justin with the funds. If we finish in the playoffs, we can compete, if we win the league, we go up. It is set up for League football, pretty much everything is in place, don't even have to build a new ground. Attendences would rise if league football came (if prices didn't go up, they'd be amongst the cheapest in League 2).

It's really a better prospect than what encouraged the Far Eastern investors to Crawley.

I don't know how I'd react if Ladak did jump ship in the grand scheme of thing, but it is certainly far more attractive than a phoenix club (which I think would not get the support needed, let alone the ground) or a merger (which would only lead to phoenix clubs).
