So What Happens Now!
So What Happens Now!
With the youth players.
I imagine most have already gone and trialled elsewhere but what about the scholars etc is all this gone and finished also.
I imagine no league status no scholarship scheme plus obviously the cost of running the system it's probably a no-go.
No first team therefore no youth system for the young players to aspire to.
Lots of hard work all gone for now!!!

Re: So What Happens Now!
You're jumping the gun there. Whilst there is still a chance of either a) an appeal to the FA and reinstatement, or b) playing in the Zamaretto, there's still a chance the youth team could remain in the FCYA next season.
It's already been discussed that the youth scheme can be self-funding.

If we stay in the Prem through appeal then brill.
But a youth system aspiring to play in the zameretto or with no first team isn't going to work imo.

Not necessarily. It may not be as successful as it is at present, but there are clubs lower down the pyramid whose youth sides are, by comparison, better than the first team.easystreet wrote:If we stay in the Prem through appeal then brill.

regarding the youth let's hope that should we end up in the zamerreto that we are only there for 1 season so as for aspiring for the conf prem give it time we could well be back there in 2/3 years also Rothwell had a youth team untill K*ttering came along think they merged or something, there is no reason why the youth cannot carry on as is because it is self funded up to u 16's and to be perfctly honest how many will actually push thru to the 1st tem in conf prem so you may get more boys thru at this level to prove their selves and progrss that way.Shoot For The Moon
Re: So What Happens Now!
I am unsure of the facts but I thought you needed to be a certain level of club to play in the conference alliance etc
Personally just being self funded upto the u16s isn't long term it's about education also.
This hiccup ( well that's what I'm telling myself) has set the youth of diamonds back years no matter whether were in UCL or zameretto.
Long road back I feel.
Although main priority is hoping we still have a club at all after tomorrow.

I think FA can consider this issue again. They can take any decision. So at least the can recheck it.
