So, you guys voted to keep the signatures last week. As was intimated in that thread however, there will be changes/ground rules put in place regarding signatures and avatars to reduce the bandwidth, making the forum considerably cheaper to view from abroad and on mobile phones. With the popularity of the forum greatly increasing in the past month or so, we think that it's only fair we make The Diamonds Forum as easily accessable as possible.
The vote was far tighter than I imagined, but signatures will stay. As a compromise though, Diamondsforever, Dazzler and I reserve the right to remove any signatures we deem to be too big or unnecessary. Without having gone through the members in any great detail yet, I can't think of any currently that spring to mind as being a big problem.
Same goes for avatars. There are currently restrictions in place in terms of size, but anything animated will have to go i'm afraid.
Regarding animated signatures and avatars, as a general rule anything animated won't be permitted indefinitely. We'll send round PM's to those that will be affected (unless you wan't to save us the job) within the next week or so. Any issues regarding this PM me (or the rest of the gang) and i'll tell you why i'm right ;) .
