http://www.footballforums.net/forums/sh ... his-FridayI genuinely wish you - and all clubs who have the sense and bravery to take this route - the best of success. Losing your club must be a devstating blow and I genuinely feel for you, but the upside is that there is nothing like the vibe and the buzz of achieving success as a fan-owned club, as I'm sure fans of the true Wimbledon will attest.
You haven't lost your club. A club is more than a ground, a legal entity, a trademarked name, or a league position - it's you and all those who stand by your club through thick and thin. That is why most sensible people recognise that AFC is the true Wimbledon except in name, the same way that Aldershot is the true Aldershot.
After all, Chesterfield Town were liquidated in the early twentieth Century and only re-formed as as the Phoenix club Chesterfield F.C. in 1919, yet the club, the media and the fans all routinely refer to the Phoenix club as the fourth-oldest club in England (including certain individuals on here who hypocritically support MK Dons claim to the Wimbledon FC legacy) which can only be true if you accept that Phoenix clubs are the true continuation of their predecessors.
Good luck. It'll be interesting to be the focus of goodwill from the football world, won't it?

Messages of support for the Phoenix Club
I've been looking around and found that we're getting messages of support from many fans as we look to embark upon rising from the ashes. They are certainly inspiring and reinforce why the phoenix club is the right route to go. This one in particular caught my eye:
