AFC Rushden & Diamonds

Post by Dirty Boy »

Could we please have an update please on the current progress.

Meeting minutes are available on http://www.saverdfc.com site if people have not already seen it, please take a look.

Should a new meeting date be set to outline the full requirements and confirm the positions that need to be filled etc?

Have all the forms been submitted to the Northants FA, or does the move into administration cause us a problems with the name?

If administration causes us problems, what options do we have?

Does the administration issue cause us problems with the Trust as technically the club still exists?

How much money do we need to raise to get things going?

Loads more questions to be asked i am sure.

Excellent work so far, we must ALL focus our efforts on this project.

I, like the vast majority of Diamonds supports want a club to follow for 2011/2012 and onwards, and it ain't going to be a club playing on Nene Park's Pitch 1 and it ain't going to be at Sickfields.
Still Say that Van Der Veldan had the most amazing ball control of any player at our club.

I think all efforts been undertaken atm are 'under the radar' and purely gaining the information and knowledge to go forward. Until Rushden and Diamonds FC is wound up (which will happen on monday) nothing official can take place. Sit tight until Monday and thats when the wheels will start moving in a postive direction

Hasn't administration thwarted the winding up petition?

I realise lack of information is frustrating, but there are things we can't say in public for fear of jeapordising what we are trying to put in place. I know the main problem with the old club was lack of communication, but this time its a bit different because the people doing the work are all fans.

Essentially what we are working on is options for the fans to vote on - no decisions are being taken on your behalf.

As and when things become confirmed we will be able to release info on them and I can do this now on 2 fronts:

1/ AFC R&D will be at Party in the Park on Saturday. Please go along and chat to the guys and girls on the stand there if you want to chat about AFC Diamonds.

2/ It was unanimously voted on at the meeting on 1st July to run a youth team for 2011/12 and this is what we are trying to put in place. Therefore the first open trials for AFC R&D will be held on Tuesday 12th July, 7:45pm at Raunds Manor school (astro). I will put up a seperate post about this.

Only if you omit this bit:

And this bit:
