clubwebsite.co.uk

Post by BartonRaz »

I imagine there are already plans in place for a website for the new club, but if there isn't anything concrete, i've noticed that a lot of lower-league clubs have started using clubwebsite.co.uk. Raunds Town for example.

It's very simple, easy to navigate, and free. I know it won't be unique but it might be worth looking into as a short-term measure.
They say we've lost our money we're not famous anymore.....

I hate clubwebsite with a passion, it's full of adverts, looks rubbish and takes ages to load.

An alternative is http://www.pitchero.com/.

there's nothing wrong with the save rdfc one in my opinion

I think we're ok on the Website front at the moment - quite a few volunteers on that currently.

Chippenham Town use Pitchero. I signed up a year or so ago when I was looking for a football programme and I can't fault them. Regular weekly round-ups, and I've stayed connected because it's really informative.

I'd suggest keeping it simple in the first year, and during that time drawing up a specification for a proper site for the professional team. That will be based on what sort of content people are prepared to commit to provide - e.g. live team updates and match summaries from away games, audio interviews with transposition, detailed historic stats, photo galleries, video files, match previews, daily news updates etc.
