We played some decent stuff at times but Chenecks were a step up compared to the opponents that we have faced so far. Their front two were a right handful particulary their number 10. Let's get them tapped up ;)

Yep, outplayed by an older better team, good learning curve for our players.
Chenecks will win this league this season I have no doubt they have scored 14 goals in two games before tonight.
We held them until 2 quickfire braces one at the end of the first half and one at the start of the second, however the lads still kept plugging away and tried to play football the right way.
Just over 200 there too so a good turnout

I think most of the Chenecks side were close to 18 years old, where a lot of our lads were considerably younger - I think that showed to be honest. They were very pacy up front and I think they'll tear a few teams apart this year, I'd be surprised if they didn't win this League at a canter.

Our boys plugged away and there is no shame in losing to a better and stronger side when you've played your best, they didn't give in.

Decent crowd too, enjoyed the evening if not the result - weird to watch 90 minutes on an artificial pitch mind, be interesting to see how they play on grass when we meet up at Raunds.

No complaints or excuses though, the best team won on the night, but our lads can hold their heads high !!

Have to agree with all the comments above.
ON's were the better team and it showed that they have played together for a few years.
They ran the channels well and always looked like scoring a few.

I think we will give them a better game on grass though 8-)

Was very proud of the lads last night even though they lost, they gave 100% which is all we can ask of them.

Can see ON Chenecks winning the league, as I don't think many sides will come away from games against them with many points.

Their two strikers were quality, especially their number 10, who had pace to burn.

Like others have said, will be interesting to see how they play on grass.

I think we watched the team that will be the league champs tonight, they were a very good side, but our lads kept plugging away and thought we would get a consolation goal in the last few minutes, but alas so onwards and upwards

Boys were fantastic, dont care what mistakes they make or if we lose, with the endeavour and pride they showed at 4-0 down they were all heroes. We were well beaten, and from what I have seen so far they were streets ahead of any of the other teams we have played.
