Membership - got yours yet???
I can't stress enough how important it is that you complete and return your Membership forms as soon as possible, you can register and pay on-line or print off a form and bring payment with you to the game on Thursday. Details here: http://www.afcdiamondsshop.com/membership.asp
I think its important for people to realise that if we don't have a strong membership, we won't have a strong club going on into the future......we may not even have a club at all and I don't thinks thats overly dramatic to say so. The club will only be as strong as its membership and we need to demonstrate to the "footballing authorities" just how strong we are.
Please spread the word, print off forms and pass them on to people, encourage them to join up. There are a lot of people waiting for the Senior side next year.......if you know someone then get them to fill a form in now, this is for AFC R&D, not just the Under 18s, but to help build for our future.
There will be a big push on membership over the coming few weeks, please show your support to the club and those working so hard to get this club up and running by joining up - do so (and make a £3 or more donation) before the 31st October and be in the draw to be member number 1 !!!

Re: Membership - got yours yet???
Am I right in thinking the "original" R&DFC Trust is going to write to all of its members regarding closing that trust? Perhaps someone might suggest to them that they include details of the AFC Trust membership in that letter? (I'm not exactly on "speaking terms" with them since their actions in April / May, otherwise I'd do it myself).

Re: Membership - got yours yet???
Its a good idea Tony, but I reckon most of the Trust members are "on-board" with AFC already. I think a lot of people took a form and haven't filled it in yet as they haven't realised the full implications of not doing so - it is vitally important to the club they do so.
Also important is people getting involved, and dare I say it, that includes (most importantly) people like yourself. I know how involved you were in R&D and how much you put into it - if you could do the same or similiar with AFC we'd fly - getting people of your calibre involved is so important to us - think about it eh? I think you'd enjoy working with this bunch of people, its so far removed from what you've experienced in the past and I know for a fact you'd love it - call me sometime to talk about volunteering opportunities...............or I may be calling you ;)

I know this is going to sound really stupid, but I think I have already joined... the trouble is that so much has happened in our family in the last few weeks - very good and very bad things - that I can't remember if the wish was the father to the deed, or if I only intended to join... can someone in the know check out whether I m already a member or not?
