Forthcoming Fixtures
The league have just announced the following fixtures for us in January:
Thursday 12th - Bugbrooke St Michaels - Home - League
Monday 23rd - ON Chenecks - Away - League KO Cup
As we've played more games than anyone else in the league, these will be our only competitive games. We will therefore be arranging some friendly matches, most likely for the free Thursday nights. There will also hopefully be a game between the Christmas and New Year period, details of which will follow once things are confirmed for definite.
Keep an eye on the OWS (http://www.afcdiamonds.com/201112-fixtu ... sults-grid) for details, although I'll continue to post updates on here as well.

Re: Forthcoming Fixtures
Is there any chance of putting together a Saturday fixture or two before the end of April do you think Dave? We might be able to use it to gauge our potential support for next season? Not forgetting to raise more funds for the club.

We are actually discussing a Saturday game at the moment, and all being well should have something to announce in the near future.Three of Diamonds wrote:Is there any chance of putting together a Saturday fixture or two before the end of April do you think Dave? Saturday's are difficult however for a number of reasons. Firstly there's finding somewhere to play, as the likes of Raunds and Wellingborough have a home game each Saturday, firsts and reserves alternating. Then there are problems with the availability of our players. As ours is a midweek league, many of our players play for other sides on Saturday's, and those that don't often have Saturday jobs. We actually trained last Saturday (on a cold but clear morning) and only had 11 lads turn up, but had almost 20 turn up in the pissing down rain last night!

Dave, given enough notice I may be able to help with somewhere to play a Saturday game, but would be limited to certain dates. PM me if your stuck.
