Keeping an eye on the UCL....
I see Long Buckby lost at home to Newport Pagnell tonight, so it is now in King's Lynn's hands.
Would probably be better for our chances of success if King's Lynn got promoted although we could have had some cracking games (and cracking attendances) against them.
(I'm being presumptuous and assuming that common sense will prevail and we'll be put in the Premier Division ;) )

You do know that the F.A will decide what League we will play in so common sense will not be used in any shape or form, they will use the old tried and tested method of Eeny Meeny Miny Mo

Thats Interesting. (for us maybe?)
Are they merging with Dav Town, or just simply folding?

Looks like they are folding - but with the manager and some coaching staff to work at Daventry Town with whom they have been ground sharing.TwinkleToesTomlin wrote:Thats Interesting. (for us maybe?)

Just reading the story on the newspaper website, but seems like they have had some good success in their 44 years and don't deserve to be written off as a footballing side-note, despite their southern league big brothers.
Sad.

Well, they aren't merging but the entire backroom staff at Dav Utd will take up positions at Dav Town.TwinkleToesTomlin wrote:Thats Interesting. (for us maybe?)

Both clubs were sharing the Communications Park pitch. I went there to watch St Neots last month and the playing surface was pretty awful by anyones standards.
The reason they're folding: ''We don't have a ground and have no way of generating income in a UCL that has gone up a level. We can't compete with other clubs.''

Another one now! Northampton Spencer have requested they be demoted to UCL Div One next season. Manager Andy Peaks is resigning at the end of the season. Possible assistant? ;)
The UCL Premier is starting to look mighty thin on the ground next year. Spencer were the longest-serving UCL Premier side.

Surely this doesn't bode well for the UCL fight to save the league in the pending FA reshape?BartonRaz wrote:Another one now! Northampton Spencer have requested they be demoted to UCL Div One next season. Manager Andy Peaks is resigning at the end of the season. Possible assistant? ;)
