RDFC superstitions?
RDFC superstitions?
This was touched upon in the Oxford thread, thought it deserved it's own discussion. 8-)
The only superstition I do (and I think this is reserved for fans who can't make the games very often) is to avoid looking at any 'live tables' during the match. It always seems to provoke an opposition goal, I think it's God telling me not to count my chickens :(

I always wear my shirt as my outside layer. Dunno why. Even if it's a freezing Tuesday in December though and I have coats and jumpers on, I'll put my shirt over the top of them all.

Never Say 'that's a win then or thats the three points in the bag' when there's a whole half left - jokingly said it at half time away at cambridge (poor form - i got in trouble)
Re: RDFC superstitions?
I have several that I adhere to but I don't know whether they influence resulis!! I always park in a particular spot and facing a particular direction until I've seen a lost game then I move to a completely different space - until the next lost game. Similarly with Diamonds scarves. I wear the same one every game until a loss and then that one goes to the bottom of the pile. I also have to walk about five seats past my seat before returning to sit on it. And finally, if I see and speak to Mr Curtis - the old headteacher of Alfred Street School - before a game, we always lose. Every time. Even when I saw him away at Cambridge a few seasons ago. Funny how supporters and players have these irrational obsessions which logically should make no difference to the outcome of a game - and yet always seem to do so.

If we win and i'm wearing a particular shirt, i.e white home shirt, yellow away etc.. i'll wear that shirt until we lose and then change it if we eventually lose.

Not a superstition that 'influences' a game as such, but a personal habit of mine is to always tap the ceiling above the exit of the De Banke when I leave after a match (I think players do this with a sign at Anfield for example?). I've done it for more years than I care to remember now, win, lose or draw.

Completely agree with that - last few weeks when things have been going well mid game, I've refused to look, in case we messed things up. As it happened we haven't done so, and I've been able to enjoy the table after.

Isn't it the amount of pints you drink is the amount of goals we'll score that day? ;)Superhans wrote:also i have 1 other supperstition i must drink at least 3 pints before any kick off home or away if im going or not if i dont we will def lose.
