So how does this work? I've no idea when my membership for 2011/12 expired because I've never received a membership card!
However, I renewed immediately I saw the 'renewals post' so can someone explain how the 13 month period pans out?

I think Chas answered this on the members forum.

Membership runs until 30th June each season, so if you renew now (which you already have) it will run until 30th June 2013.

So if you've already paid to the 30th June 2012 for last season's membership then how is anyone getting a month free if this season's membership runs to the 30th June 2013?

To offer a free month then membership should expire on the 31st July 2013. ;)

Just a reminder if you haven't renewed you can do so now and get a month free. A months free membership is also available if you are a NEW member.

The emphesis Should be on NEW as i am not bothered as a current member about an extra month

I do agree that i fail to understand how renewals get an extra month anyhow

That's my point. Fair enough encouraging existing members to renew early to level out the admin workload but wrong to say they are getting an extra month free.

I think you'll find its worded correctly on the official site (see the link), it might have been a "slip of the fingers" by what is a VERY busy man when adding it on to here.

New members get the additional month's free membership, obviously existing members don't as you're paid up until the end of the month anyway. Of course with each passing day you're eroding away the benefit of the free month (it was a month when it was announced), as the new membership will expire on 30th June 2013.

If you are an existing member and haven't renewed yet, please try to asap, it'll help tremendously with spreading the workload for the guys dealing with this.

ah ok, i see what you mean, therefore you get one month of next seasons 2012-2013 membership free as it doesn't start until 1st July 2012.

Yeah sorry if i haven't worded it correctly.

In any case if you haven't signed up, sign up now as it all helps the club.

Only applies to new members, Jon. ;)

I actually renewed my membership a few minutes after you posted the appeal to renew a couple of weeks back.
