Quite a bit in the Chron today about the UCL (although no mention of us).
A big focus on Sileby who have appointed Glenn Botterill as their new manager. He was Long Buckby manager last season, and has taken 6 of the UCL Premier championship winning squad with him to Sileby. Quite an interesting read, certainly leaves you with the impression that Sileby are going for it next season after finishing 2nd bottom last term.
With Oadby and Sileby in Div One next season it's sure to be very difficult.
Sileby Rangers...
Re: Sileby Rangers...
It will be interesting to see how well they do. They've got a smashing ground, so ought to be able to attract more fans if they get a bit of publicity suggesting they might have a successful season.
Having seen Long Buckby 5 times last season they seemed to be well organised and their league record speaks for itself. I thought more of their players might move up a division to other clubs, rather than down.

Their top scorer from last season- Russ Dunkley and another of their top players Richard Bunting have signed for Kings Lynn. Have Sileby even get half a dozen of Buckbys players they will be very difficult to beat!Formic wrote:It will be interesting to see how well they do.
