Ground up date

Post by Bobos »

Just got back from the D&D after a hard days work, and there are a few things to look out for tomorrow.

Firstly the Club shop is finished and will be open for business.
Please look out for a few new items on sale in the coming weeks.
It's not totally decorated yet as I need a couple more pictures to finish it off, but I hope you will agree, it will save you getting wet when purchasing your AFC R&D merchandise 8-)

As I was leaving the D&D tonight, the finishing touches were being put to the tannoy sytem in the Peter De Banke terrace, so you should hear all the announcements from now on?

More speakers are being prepared for the main stand as well and they should be completed in the next few days.

The Radio Diamonds shack has been refurbished and will soon be on air in their nice and cosy home.
You may also notice some nice new training posts, to help the squad even more.

There are signs around the ground reminding you of the Mo Alcohol in view of the pitch rules too.

I must say a massive thank you for the man with the magic Drill, Discodunk, for all the hard work he put in today..............thanks Dunc

Enjoy the game tomorrow and remember to sing loud and proud 8-)

Sounds excellent. In regards to the tannoy, to be fair I personally didn't think it was too bad at the Thrapston game, I could just about make it out announcements at the other end of the pitch, though it certainly does make sense to put a system in the stands as well.

Maybe now I can actually tell who's who on the pitch (unlike at the away games) especially when we have subs come on as its difficult knowing who's who and who's what number. I've just about learnt the starters over the last few weeks by face, but it does help to hear a tannoy telling me who's which number!

Discodunk - the Legend !!!! ;) :D

Thanks to Dunk and Dazzler we now have a terrific tannoy system - well done guys, but the end of the day the system was working really well - no complaints that its too loud now please ;) :D

Like Duke said, the shop will be open tomorrow after lots of hard work today. The stock will be arriving in the morning so please pop in and buy something, I'm sure Stagman will be delighted to see you :D

Finally, please help us to abide by the no drink outside rule tomorrow, we're fairly confident that we'll have observers from the FA there tomorrow (especially given our high profile in the NLP etc) so please lets make sure we show off our club for all the right reasons eh? Also, don't forget it is all pay tomorrow, your season tickets don't apply !!

Can't wait for tomorrow now, lets hope for a great turnout, a terrific match and a positive result !! :D

Do we need to bring our cards like against Thrapston (even though we were paying cash)?

Also does the shop take card payments? :)
