Yaxley (A) in the next round...

Post by BartonRaz »

On or around Saturday October 13th.

Our first competitive game against higher level opposition.

Presumably that means the Buckingham Town home game will join Potton in needing to be rearranged.

It will also mean that by the 20th at home to Burton park Wdrs, that it would have been 2 months since our last home league game! I notice Yaxley haven't had a great start to the season, 1 win and 5 defeats so far in the premier.

and thats if that goes ahead, with two other cups and a good chance of advancing in them, we may well just be playing midweek league homes!

It'll be even worse next year being in the FA Cup as well! Cup competitions, coupled with the fact there is likely to be a hell of a lot of postponements between December and February, will mean we could end up with having a fixture backlog at the end of the season, good thing we've only got 36 league games, will be much worse in the premier I imagine.

I presume Yaxley are UCL Prem?

Stadium is not dissimilar to Wootton, I recollect. Think there might be some allotments behind one of the goals?

A little south west of Peterborough I think. Should be dead easy to get to for those traveling from the Oundle/Thrapston area.

A few miles south of Peterborough, the other side of the A1.
