'By mutal consent' always makes me think something untoward happened, probably not the case though!
Thanks for your efforts Steve!

I feel sorry for people who don't drink................when they wake up in the morning, that's the best they're going to feel all day.

I would like to also say thankyou very much for all your help Steve, i remember talking to you after that first meeting at the Pemberton centre and finding you were a wealth of knowledge on the local non league scene.
Re: Steve Whitney leaves...
I can categorically confirm absolutely nothing untoward happened for me to leave the club. I want to return to under-18 management and felt it would only be fair to the club to do this as a `free agent` rather than whilst still working for AFC.diamondphil wrote:'By mutal consent' always makes me think something untoward happened, probably not the case though!

I felt I had done what I was asked to do when joining AFC and I am always one who looks for a new challenge - even at my age!
I have nothing but admiration for what has already been achieved at AFC and will not be a stranger and will attend games when work commitments allow.
I am sure the club will continue to flourish and give me plenty to write about on my websites!
