Another one in trouble
Another one in trouble
Well the dreaded fear of former League clubs could be about to strike again in the Conference.

I'm afraid I fear the days of pro clubs in Non-league are numbered. The figures just don't add up unless you have a wealthy backer (like we had).
People won't accept paying £12-£15 for a Conference game anymore, which is why we are perhaps seeing a resurgence in our attendances, as £5 is great value for very decent footie!

Couldn,t agree more UD....As a once famous contributor on Poppynet used to say ...."I was thinking that but I was to lazy to write it ".UttoDiamond wrote:I'm afraid I fear the days of pro clubs in Non-league are numbered. The figures just don't add up unless you have a wealthy backer (like we had).

I remember the days of 18 pounds for Nene park ( I also remember the 3 pound days), what an absolute joke, it put me and MANY MANY people off, 5 pounds is spot on, and TBH, I don't think I would ever pay more than 10 pounds to watch any non league team.

Even if a majority of members voted for a admission fee of over £10?ron manager wrote:I remember the days of 18 pounds for Nene park ( I also remember the 3 pound days), what an absolute joke, it put me and MANY MANY people off, 5 pounds is spot on, and TBH, I don't think I would ever pay more than 10 pounds to watch any non league team.

I agree, the prices in the conference and what they were at NP are ridiculous. Even worse when you compare them with elsewhere, in the summer I only paid £20 to see Team GB at the Olympics at Wembley and that got me 2 games as well! And something even more ridiculous is that you can watch a top league game in Germany like Bayern Munich for less than a conference gameron manager wrote:I remember the days of 18 pounds for Nene park ( I also remember the 3 pound days), what an absolute joke, it put me and MANY MANY people off, 5 pounds is spot on, and TBH, I don't think I would ever pay more than 10 pounds to watch any non league team.

Different country I know but sill ridiculous.
