Re: O/T Black Footballers Union
It's a very sensitive topic but you're right, this is getting ridiculous.
I have no idea what point Rio, Jason Roberts etc were trying to make by refusing to wear the Kick It Out T-Shirts. Racism is a problem in society not just football, and until racism is stamped out in society (a few generations away IMO) it'll keep popping up now and again. I'm not saying that is right because of course it isn't, but it's just the way it is.
Not to mention the irony in the 'Black Footballers Union' when everybody is essentially campaigning for equality.

If they proposed to have a white footballers union that would classed as rasist and there would be uproar.
I don't know whether they meant to but by not wearing the shirts they brought the campaign to the fore.

Exactly my thoughts, surely the way to tackle racism is to promote inclusivity.BartonRaz wrote: Not to mention the irony in the 'Black Footballers Union' when everybody is essentially campaigning for equality.
