I always find our manager's comments really insightful. Good questions being asked too. Quality as always.
They say we've lost our money we're not famous anymore.....

update on jake,,,,he was going to train with the first team,as asked by starms,,,,,unfortunatley he didnt, the reason being he has to work.as hes only just started work in the last three weeks it would be unfair to lie/pull a sicky.one of the stipulations was(being part time)was that he worked on saturdays, which at the time was fine,as all his club games are in the week,,,,,he never dreamt this would happen.....he has to" earn" a contract which is allocated to a select few,,,which will be in january(so im lead to believe).when he arrived at training starms asked if he could come saturday which he replied "sorry,i cant get the time off" so starms asked him to train with the u18s(which was only right ;) ) to me this shows a great level of maturity and honesty(cant think where he gets that from?) hes so proud of playing for the diamonds,i remember him saying ,standing on the de banke,my dream is to play for us on the nene park pitch,,,,,nearest he got was ball boying   ,,,,,,he also said "if im good enough theyll ask me again" proud or what ;) midweek games are fine 8-) 8-)

Sounds like a top lad on and off the pitch.

With an attitude like that, his time will come for far more than a single game.

My lad was the same at the start of the season, working full time in the holidays. Could not make training, he even had to give up training with Corby 1st team just could not fit it all in at the time.
He thought that if he was good enough there would be a place for him later. Never heard from Diamonds again lol
