Step-6 Applicants...

No K*ttering FC in that list?
Netherton Utd and Peterborough Sports Parkway would almost certainly be put in the UCL should they meet requirements. Highfield Rangers are a few miles north of Oadby so they might be put in the UCL also.

Red Kite, is certainly hinting at that in the K*ttering FC thread.BartonRaz wrote:http://nonleague.pitchero.com/news/step ... um=twitter

I'd have thought Wisbech St Mary would be considered too, given the number of Fenland teams in the UCL, and the fact that Kings Lynn were in the UCL.BartonRaz wrote:http://nonleague.pitchero.com/news/step ... um=twitter

Re: Step-6 Applicants...
Both Netherton and Peterborough Sports Parkway can't be promoted this season due to this FA Leagues Committee Regulation:
In order to be promoted, clubs must finish in ‘top’ position in their Step 7 league. If the club finishing in top position does not wish to be promoted or fails to meet the entry criteria, then the club finishing in 2nd position will be eligible for promotion. If the club in 2nd position does not seek promotion or fails to meet the entry criteria, then clubs down to 5th position may be considered for promotion, provided that they meet the appropriate entry criteria. This was agreed by the Leagues Committee at a recent meeting and will be incorporated into the Regulations.
Clubs finishing below 5th position will not be considered for promotion and ONLY ONE club will be considered from each league.
At the moment the table ins the PDFL looks like this: http://full-time.thefa.com/Index.do?league=6486466
Personally I think that Wisbech St Mary are most appropriate in the Thurlow Nunn League (Eastern Counties) where Wisbech Town play, although of course there are examples of 2 teams in close proximity playing in different leagues when they are located near to the approximate geographical "league boundaries" - e.g. Buckingham Town - UCL, Buckingham Athletic SSMLD1.

In the past Lutterworth Athletic have applied for membership of the UCL. Is it now to late for them to apply?

Re: Step-6 Applicants...
I would suggest so given the FA's published list of applicants but, in any event, wouldn't the secretary of Lutterworth Athletic be aware of the application deadline date? ;)elvisgirl wrote:In the past Lutterworth Athletic have applied for membership of the UCL. Is it now to late for them to apply?

Netherton Utd and Peterborough Sports Parkway have applied to the UCL for promotion from step 7.
Wisbech, Lutterworth Athletic and St Neots Town Saints have applied from other leagues.
Also, according to the UCL Facebook page all UCL clubs must have floodlights next season.

Good to see Northwich fans have got a club together, after a pretty turbulent few years for them, the original club is still playing its home games 40 miles away from Northwich

1874 Northwich's Chairman, Paul Stockton, was a visitor to the club at our last Saturday home match at the Dog n' Duck in February and I had a brief chat with him.Olly wrote:Good to see Northwich fans have got a club together, after a pretty turbulent few years for them, the original club is still playing its home games 40 miles away from Northwich

If Wisbech Town transfer to the UCL Prem then surely you are right, St Mary would be placed in Division One. However it looks doubtful that they can achieve a top 5 finish:Formic wrote:I'd have thought Wisbech St Mary would be considered too, given the number of Fenland teams in the UCL, and the fact that Kings Lynn were in the UCL.BartonRaz wrote:http://nonleague.pitchero.com/news/step ... um=twitter
