Best Moment So Far?

Post by Bob's Bitch »

It seems like we haven't had a game in ages and I'm bored so... POLL TIME!

You can pick two moments from the first half of the season. I went through the fixture list but I couldn't really think of any other standout moments/goals. Correct me if I've forgotten! :D

Gutted that I couldn't be at either Hayden Road or Ashington, but Olney was amazing (even if the overall game was frustrating), that's why I love football so much and was so happy to have my beloved Diamonds back to support again. And the Thrapston game for just being such a great occasion and was great we were able to kick off with a nice win as well.

The Thrapston game was so special after everything that had happened. Gillys goal V Basford, just like watching Brazil :)

The first game against Thrapston and the away support at Ashington for me. Amazing to see how many people would follow the team such long distances. There's no way we'd have taken 150 if the old R&D had drawn Ashington in the FA Cup.

I picked the same as Barton Raz, obviously seeing so many people in the dog and duck on a beautiful summers day and a decent 3-0 victory to go with it was amazing, but Ashington away really was special, I know those that made the trip including the board and players/starms etc keep going on about it, but it really made you realise how far the club has come and how close everyone involved with the club are with each other (even the foul mouthed thugs) who sung their hearts out and everyone gave there all in difficult conditions!!!

Im just pleased we're sat here discussing our best moments, and not the financial destruction we was talking about 18 or so months ago :D

Thrapston game for me though ;)

Each one has different meanings to me.

Thrapston was just amazing seeing more and more people come in was just brilliant.

Obviously the amount of people at Hayden Road again was jaw dropping

For me as a fan the goals at Olney and Ashington were the best moments so far, you just can't buy that feeling anywhere on earth.

Has to be the first game against Thrapston, was so proud to be there, and will remember that day for years to come.

Second has to be the Hayden Road game, not only was it a beautiful day, but shows the potential we have for support, another day I will remember for years to come.

Probably Thrapston for me, although I didn't see any of the first half.

I also have to give a shout for Olney away, a lovely day and wandering down the High Street at half time for ice creams and getting back without missing any of the second half.
