Manager of the month

Post by Formic »

A 100% record isn't enough for Starms - its gone to the Eynesbury management team.

Phew. That's a relief. A team always goes off the boil when their manager wins the MoM.
Watch Eynesbury implode now! :)

Not that we'll be complaining due to curse avoidance but that really is silly. They drew at home to Raunds and still got MOTM!

So 19 points from a possible 21 is better than 18 out of 18 points is it? Plus we only conceded 1 goal AND we beat the league leaders in their own back yard, a feat no-one else has achieved this season, but its not good enough to earn Starms a MOTM Award

I'm not that bothered as its a bullet dodged, but recognition where its due eh?

True, but don't they realise just how worthless they make their MOTM Award when they do that, it means nothing. Personally I hope Starms gets nowhere near it for the rest of the season, its a poison chalice, the recognition I want to see him get is either through promotion or picking up the title !! :D

Sorry to be picky Jim by Eynesbury beat Sileby 2-1 at Fernie Fields ;)

Anyway MOTM awards will mean jack s*** at the end of the season, it's all about getting in the top 2.

3pts Saturday is more valuable than a piffy MOTM award.

You pick away it to lol, I misread the table and mixed home and away up (derrrr) that means something has to give when they visit us, assuming things stay as they are they won't have lost away and we won't have at home!

The MoM news is in the UCL newsletter - http://www.afcdiamonds.com/united-count ... newsletter

Perhaps the goalscorers chart might need correction

23 – Lee Bassett (Eynesbury)
21 – Michael Byrne (Sileby – including 4 for Deeping and 10 for Desborough)
18 – Jake Newman (AFC Rushden & Diamonds – including 2 for Sileby)
17 – Rob Foster (Sileby)
15 – Jake Duffy, Jon Stevenson (Oadby), Paul Pickering (Northampton Spencer)
14 – Alfie Taylor (Sileby)
13 – Cavell Jarvis (Whitworth)
