[ MATCH OFF ] Eynesbury Rovers, KO 7:45pm UCL1 HOME
Re: [ Tue 12th Mar ] v Eynesbury Rovers, KO 7:45pm UCL1 HOME
This will be the 'season defining' match. But, what a run we are on, going into this match on the back of a great result with another clean sheet. We could be top on Tuesday.

I think your potential 1000 may have to wait until we face Oadby, but i'm sure we'd be happy just to get more than the Thrapston openerron manager wrote:I would hope to get close to a 1000 for this, but shame its yet another Tuesday night, shame on you UCLFOOTYMAN wrote:This will be the 'season defining' match. Only problem about tuesday night guys is the pitch. Extremely wet at the moment, and any more rain on it willput tuesday nights game in big doubt.

That is so frustrating, when the big games come around, at home or away, they are on a Tuesday night. Still, as you say, we should hopefully top the season opener with the attendance. Everyone bring a friend, weather permitting. Looks like a bit of snow and sleet around for a couple of days.

Seing the D&D today, I would agree with The Burger Monster, any more rain and the game will be seriously in doubt 8-)

I hope this means pre-match sand application! 8-)burger monster wrote:Only problem about tuesday night guys is the pitch. Extremely wet at the moment, and any more rain on it willput tuesday nights game in big doubt.

Going forward is there anything we can do to improve the drainage, or is just a case of the ground sitting on the flood plan.

The biggest problem is that the water table is so high at the moment. This winter has seen some of the worst weather in years, it has nothing to do with the pitch.
Underneath the pitch is really good, but all the water we have had lays on top and makes it really sticky on the top inch or so, hopefully we can eliminate a lot of that for next season, however if we get floods, we stand no chance 8-)
