Thanks for that. Interesting, informative post from Ralph. Reading one or two of the other comments on there about the drivel posted on the UCL Facebook page makes me realise I'm not missing anything at all worthwhile .Three of Diamonds wrote:RSee offy site forum for chairman post.Sid wrote:Don't do facebook. Agreed. The sooner our fans realise the best way thing for their club would be for this unofficial source to be ignored and allowed to go back to the level of the similarly unofficial UCL forum which quickly died off when Diamonds fans ignored it.Sid wrote:Thanks for that. Most people who are concerned about security and privacy won't touch Facebook with a barge-pole anyway, but others might remember that Trolls will quickly disappear if nobody is feeding them.

That UCL Chatter Forum has died on it's feet. Perhaps the trolls there thought that Diamonds Fans would replace the void left by King's Lynn fans but clearly this hasn't happened.Formic wrote:.... and allowed to go back to the level of the similarly unofficial UCL forum which quickly died off when Diamonds fans ignored it.

I don't think it will be as easy to get all of our fans to stop reading the UCL Facebook page, as it was to get them to stop reading that forum though.Formic wrote:Agreed. Maybe not - but its really frustrating when volunteers put in so much effort to maintain our official website, keeping it updated with both Diamonds news and UCL news (via the UCL newsletter and links to the Official UCL website) only to find people treat as the gospel truth or propogate the rumours / leaks they read on an unofficial and un-moderated source like that - or the similar non-league stats sites. I do wonder whether its worth the effort put into the OWS.Sara Pascoe wrote:I don't think it will be as easy to get all of our fans to stop reading the UCL Facebook page, as it was to get them to stop reading that forum though.Formic wrote:Agreed. I must admit I find the UCL Facebook page an excellent source of entertainment, and occasionally information, transfers, gossip etc. I just do my best to refrain from commenting on it.

Agreed, the chap who runs the page does an excellent job IMO. Most of the time you can have some good banter however there are a few tools on there who try and stir things up.BartonRaz wrote:I must admit I find the UCL Facebook page an excellent source of entertainment, and occasionally information, transfers, gossip etc. I just do my best to refrain from commenting on it.
