Now the season is over...
Are there any players who you'd like to see at AFC Rushden & Diamonds, next season?
I thought Cavell Jarvis from Shitworths was decent, and exactly the type of player we could do with, agree? disagree?
Or do you think our current players are good enough for the UCL Prem?

My personal view is that the current crop is good enough and should be given the chance to compete in the Prem.
I wonder if there will be some players who decide to move on due to lack of playing time though, you can't blame them and I'd wish them luck, except when we play them of course.

Cavell Jarvis would certainly have been a decent signing if we had of remained in division 1, not so sure about the prem. Maybe Lee Bassett or James Freshwater from Eynesbury would add something. I was expecting more from Paul Pickering up front for Spencer on Saturday as he's one of the top scorers in the league, but he had a quiet game and was withdrew so I can't say if he would be a good signing. He looks like he might be decent in the air though

Re: Now the season is over...
Whilst I don't want to take anything away from this year's crop of players who have all been superb, I think strengthening is inevitable and we're in a good position to attract players.
From what i've seen this season in Div One i'd like Bassett and Reynolds from Eynesbury. As a long shot maybe even Duffy & Stevenson from Oadby. I see ex-Diamond Andrew Tidswell got the UCL Premier golden boot at Holbeach and he's always vocal in his support for us on Twitter.
I think better strength in depth up top is a must - and a different type of player at that. I'd like to see Lance used primarily as a striker which would then free up space for a winger such as Duffy.
Reality is we'll probably set our sights higher and take some southern league players. People like Parky and Cross can help with recruitment I'm sure.

Good shout. The inclusion of Andrew Tidswell would make us real title contenders in the Premier Division. ;)BartonRaz wrote: I see ex-Diamond Andrew Tidswell got the UCL Premier golden boot at Holbeach and he's always vocal in his support for us on Twitter.

The Eynesbury number 4. Best centre half I've seen all season apart from Parky

Out of our current players I would think Matthew Brady, Jamie Gilsenan, George Cox & Jamie O'Grady (If Cox & O'Grady are still with us) will all move on.SouthRushdenJFC wrote:My personal view is that the current crop is good enough and should be given the chance to compete in the Prem.
