Supporters Direct have announced that the friendly against Northwich will be for the Supporters Direct Shield.

It was intended to be a permanent annual fixture so I assume so.

And out of interest, does the supporters' direct cup not exist anymore?

The Supporters direct Cup was held the same day as the Shield last season, so I assume this season Supporters Direct day will happen again.
