Jason Turner...

Post by BartonRaz »

Just posted in another thread that Jason Turner has been linked to us on the UCL Facebook page. I've done some digging and found this:

Presumably that means us, unless Rushden & Higham have managed to tempt him!
They say we've lost our money we're not famous anymore.....

Judging by that article Holbeach are suffering in the same way that Long Buckby did, with their squad being decimated.

Once a club shows it has no ambition ie does not accept promotion or cannot get promotion due to their ground not being up to standard the players always seem to desert in droves

Well you would, wouldn't you? I'd be gutted if I won the league and the team declined to get promotion. I would also be pissed off if I was a club who came third and didn't get promoted because the team that won the league declined to go up. Basically taking away one promotion spot.

There was only one available promotion spot from the UCL Premier, Holbeach United declined and St Ives Town edged out Spalding United for second place and promotion.
