Diamonds Are Forever - Arctic Monkeys

Post by Trek »

Bozzer is already using the opening bit of this track for his AFCRD TV introduction.

How about having the full version played over the PA a few minutes before the teams enter the pitch?

Recall that Shirley Bassey's version used to be played on a regular basis at Nene Park in the early 2000's before being dropped, apparently after objections from old Rushden Town fans as it was the theme tune of Irthlingborough Diamonds.

However, I think we've moved on from those days. ;)

Great live version from Glastonbury here:-

When the ladies play at the D&D they come out to Rhianna's "Shine Like a Diamond".

This is already in the playlist since mid last seasson, it just gets played at random times rather than just before kick off.

Really? Can't say I've heard it. Like to hear it, with the volume turned up when everyone is decanting from the bar. Be great if it was piped into the visitors dressing room. :D
